Good evening all. It has been a long but good humpday. Christie and I did not get to see Zander until this evening as the room/pod he is in was closed for most of the afternoon due to admissions and procedures being performed in Zander's pod.
As far as Zander is concerned, they tightened his traction sutures for his upper esophagus again today. They also gave him a detailed bath and he is a new man. He is still receiving 25 ml every 3 hours and he is doing well. We spoke with Melanie (the nurse practitioner) and she said he was doing well and resting well. For now they will continue to monitor his lungs, but it appears they are growing stronger each day. Zander now weighs 8 pounds and 6 ounces, so he is taking after his Daddy when it comes to eating.
We hope to know more tomorrow, but for now, all is well. The prayers, comments and calls sustain us. Our thanks is an understatement.
Sweet dreams to all and to Houston, Jackson and Zander. Boys may your dreams be big and your night restful.
Clancy

Hello everyone! Guess what, this one just now got smart enough to figure out how the heck; do I send a comment!!! Oh well, my upper computer doesn't work as well as it once did. I am so thankful that our little Zman is growing and getting better looking every day, as are his two bigh brothers!
Careful guys, he'll catch up one of these days. Our love and prayers are with each of you every day. God bless ya' Phyllis & Raymond
I thought our ZMan was looking squeaky clean! A "detailed bath"---hmmmm, I'm guessing our kids haven't had one of those in quite some time (if ever). :-) Thanks for keeping up the blog, Clancy--I'm sure it is difficult as you are all busy and tired but it really helps to keep all of us who are praying (which includes many who you will never meet) "in the loop".
Much love,
Aunt Heidi and family
My friend and I are looking at this blog right now. We're glad that the zman is doing so much better, a testament as to what prayer can do. It definitely changes things. He sure is cute and a strong man just like his great granpa Jim Knellinger. One of the strongest men I've ever known. My daughter Amy and granddaughter Sienna have been visitors to this sight also. We all are praying for him. These little guys are a lot stronger than you think. Sienna spent 10 days in ICU after she was born due to Merconium poisoning and we visited her everyday. We had the best homecoming party ever when she came home. Zman will be home soon too. Love to all your cousin Cele and family.
Clancy and Family,
Its so good to hear that Zander continues to improve. We are continuing to pray for not only him but, your entire family. As always love and prayers.

A nice bath and a full belly...definately a recipe for success. It's wonderful to hear such improvements. Can't wait to read about more progress!
