Good morning everyone. Mom and I got our first real sleep last night. During the night, they removed the ventilator for about 30 minutes; however Zander did not like it. In any event they put him back on the ventilator to keep his airway open but he is breathing room air and the ventilator is just being used to keep his airway open.
Christie showered for the first time this morning and she is walking (gingerly). We are going to be here through Saturday for sure...maybe longer.
We saw Zander earlier this morning. He is still doing great! He is still beautiful and fighting hard. Enjoy the pics and thank you for the comments.
I will write soon.....

Yay for getting to spend some time with him! He is the cutest little thing. Try to get as much rest as possible during this time.

Hey guys. Zander's lucky to have such great parents as you two. I'm so happy that you can now spend time with him. The power of touch is so important. Thanks for keeping us updated.
Love you,

Zander is beautiful! What a wonderful sight to see you two touching him. Now he really knows those voices he has been hearing for the last 9 months.
You are in my thoughts and prayers constantly. God is good and he has and will work more miracles through medicine and love.
Thank you for letting us know how things are progressing through this media.
Love you,
